it’s my dad’s birthday tomorrow, and these are the two books i bought him. well, sort of. see i bought them a few weeks ago at borders, and since then i’ve misplaced them, i can’t find them anywhere. so i am giving dad my copies of the books, and then when i get back from europe i’ll have a proper search, find the copies i bought a few weeks ago, and those will then become mine. problem solved.

also, if you haven’t read either of these books - DO IT. they’re both very different, but equally amazing. high fidelity by nick hornby and the secret history by donna tartt.
